PropSim collects information to provide and improve our simulation services. We are committed to transparency about what data we collect and how we use it.

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account
• Trading Data: CSV or HTML files containing your historical trade data, including entry/exit times, prices, position sizes, and symbols
• Usage Data: How you interact with our platform, including analyses run, firms compared, and features used
• Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Whop (we do not store credit card numbers)
• Device Information: Browser type, IP address, and device identifiers for security and analytics

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide, maintain, and improve PropSim's services. We run Monte Carlo simulations on your trading data to calculate pass probabilities and generate insights.

Specifically, we use your information to:

• Analyze your trading history against prop firm rules using 10,000 statistical simulations
• Generate personalized recommendations and violation alerts
• Compare your performance across FTMO, The5ers, and Apex
• Track your progress and improvement over time
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Whop
• Send important account notifications and product updates
• Improve our algorithms and user experience based on aggregate usage patterns

Data Storage & Security

We take data security seriously. Your trading data and personal information are stored on secure, encrypted servers with industry-standard protections.

Our security measures include:

• End-to-end encryption for data transmission (TLS 1.3)
• Encrypted storage for all trading data at rest (AES-256)
• Access controls limiting employee access to customer data
• Automated backups with 30-day retention
• Supabase Row Level Security ensuring users can only access their own data

Trade data is retained for the duration of your account. If you delete your account, all associated trading data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data. Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct your personal information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Export your trading data in CSV format
• Objection: Opt out of marketing communications

Third-Party Services

PropSim uses carefully selected third-party services to operate our platform:

• Whop: Payment processing and subscription management
• Supabase: Database and authentication (hosted on AWS)
• Vercel: Application hosting and CDN
• Railway: Analysis engine hosting

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other invasive tracking technologies.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences:

• Session cookie: Keeps you logged in (Supabase auth token)
• Preference cookie: Remembers your theme selection (light/dark mode via localStorage)

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may limit functionality.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our platform. Continued use of PropSim after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
